Back to Kelantan

I’m back to Kelantan now. The flight was OK. Before depature, the flight is estimated to arrive at Kota Bharu at 11:15am. But there is a 15 mins delay for depature. But I guess they speed up a little up there, and touch down at Kota Bharu at 11:12am.

After getting my luggage, I saw my brother and his 2 sons waiting outside already. I guess my brother is eager to see me due to the fact that I’m giving him away my Playstation 2. Yeap. I give mine to him. He used to have one before, but got stolen right from his house.

Went to Billion Shopping Centre for a while. The road in Kelantan is getting busier now. The usual sight when festive season is coming. Anyway, Kelantan people are not used to seeing traffic jam. Only when Hari Raya is coming closer that you can see traffic jam.

Well. My brother gets 7 new PS2 DVD games for his son. It’s kinda suprise me that the price is a lot cheaper here. I thought it should be more expensive as they probably have to get the stock from KL?

In KL, the price of a single PS2 DVD game is fixed at RM5 per piece. I guess it won’t go lower than that in KL. Do you know how it costs in Kelantan? The price is RM4 per piece!! But that’s not shocking yet. The thing that shock me the most is, all the shops here sell 7 pieces of PS2 games at RM20. That’s RM2.86 per piece man!!! That’s crazy.

Back home, my mum is also expecting my return, mainly she’s waiting for her “raya cookies”. But I have to dissapoint her a bit by telling that it is in my brother’s car.

Went to sleep after that. I don’t have enough sleep last night & this morning. Being packing my stuff, and I only fell asleep at 5am this morning, and woke up again at 7:30am getting ready to KLIA.

Suppose to go to bazar Ramadhan with my brother today, but since I sleep, just let do it tomorrow. Tomorrow I will surely go. Kinda miss Kelantan food already – Nasi Kerabu, buah tanjung, “nikbat”, colek perut, tahi itik, jala mah, solok (if you are Kelantanese, you know what these foods are, hehehehe) – some of Kelantan foods that I’m craving for in KL – which I cannot find it anywhere, except for nasi kerabu which I can find in KL, but far from perfection in its taste.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri

Dear all my blogger friends and visitors to this blog. I will be back to my hometown in a few hours. Not sure whether I will be able to update my blog regularly as usual as I will only be on dial-up internet connection there.

Anyway, di kesempatan ini, naklah wish to all blogger friends and to all visitors, ucapan Selamat Hari Raya. Here it goes….

I also want to dedicate the song from Allahyarham P. Ramlee, titled, Suara Takbir.

Select Allahyarham P. Ramlee – Suara Takbir from the dropdown list at top right hand corner of the main page (if you happen to visit this entry from Archive Page or Item Page) to view the video for this.

Lastly, sapa nak main mercun tu, bolehlah main kat sini. Polis tak tangkap kalau main kat sini. Hehehe.

(Instruction: Masukkan mercum betul2 dalam botol. Kalau tak masuk ngan betul, nanti mercun tu akan kuar balik dari botol. Dah letak tu, apa lagi, cucuhlah sumbunya)

Last day of Ramadhan in KL

How time flies. Believe it or not, it’s already the last day of Ramadhan that I spent in KL. Tomorrow, I will be departed back to my hometown at 10:15am by MAS flight.

Did the final bag packing today. Then accompany my housemate to go to workshop as he wants to service his car, for his travel back to Muar for Hari Raya. Before that, pick up another friend of us at Bandar Tasik Permaisuri.

For this last day of Ramadhan that I will be in KL, I decided to have fast breaking at the nearby buffet restaurant, Seoul – Korean Steamboat BBQ. This place is at Plaza Pantai, just 5 mins from my house.

The price is RM29:88++ per pax, with RM3 free flow drinks. It’s kinda funny. The price of the buffet should include the drinks already. But business is business. They will try to take advantage of every oppurtunity.

Anyway, overally, the food selection is very satisfactory. They have a selection of confectionaries,

vegetable salads,

ice-cream, varities of desserts (which I don’t have chance to take photo), and of course, raw meats as the main dishes that you will BBQ later. They have chicken, beef, fish, squid, prawn and crab.

As usual, we start go and taking up all the raw meats and other things, and below are what we have on the table 15 mins before the time of fast breaking. More coming after that. Hehehe.

Since the meats are raw, and we have to cook it first, we just start ‘BBQ’ing it right away. The experience if rather different when you have to cook your own food first before you can eat it.

Another satisfactory stomach-filling moments that I had today. After that, we went to watch Transporter 2 movie at GSC One Utama. Sorry. No photos from my trip there. Kinda tired to snap pics there. Furthermore, I have featured GSC One Utama before in this blog.

I have this M’re’s Flash Video Player for 12 days since I first create and add it to this blog.

Displaying flash video in my blog starts with a simple flash applet showing Kiroro – Mirai e music video.

12 days after that, I changed the video to Happa-tai – YATTA!. But doing that, I can’t see Kiroro – Mirai e music video anymore.

This is when M’re’s Flash Video Player was born, where the past video that I add in the blog, will still be there in the player.

To fit the right hand side bar section, the video has to displayed at 190 pixel width, which is quite small to see.

After a while, I realized that it is really waste of the use of resolution, where all the videos are encoded at the size of twice as large the one displayed here.

For this, I have added a new feature to M’re’s Flash Video Player, so that a pop-up player can be opened, and th video is displayed at its full size.

To pop up the M’re’s Flash Video Player, simply click the Popup M’re’s Flash Video Player button as shown below.

Hari Raya shopping

Today, I decided to do a last minute shopping for hari raya at Mid Valley Megamall. Anyway, the main thing that I want to buy is “biskut raya” for my mum. I promised to buy her some, and I have been surveying of which one that I want to buy in the past few days when I went down to the mall during office hour.

Didn’t really want to buy that earlier since it’s more fun to do it at last minute. And there is really a huge crowd in Mid Valley today.

Before that, went to office for a while to settle a few work, and reply a few emails before I headed back to my hometown this Monday for my 1 week raya holiday!!!

Once I reach office, I saw a parcel lying on my desk. Yes!! It’s the cheque book from OCBC bank – meaning I can start use the money from my loan already. Just a perfect timing before Hari Raya ;) This is just another day that makes me really really happy today.

Here’s the Hari Raya decoration that Mid Valley has put up,

and this is the one for Deepavali.

Malaysia is having Deepa-Raya celebration this year (meaning double celebration of Deepavali and Hari Raya since both are 2 days apart from each other).

Went to Jaya Jusco to buy the raya cookies that I want to buy to my mum. But it suprised me that not much choice left, and the one that I want to buy to my mum finished already. Oh no….

So I decided to pay a visit to another Jaya Jusco branch. Went to Jaya Jusco Wangsa Maju, where the HQ is. Ahhh. They have lots of choices here. So bought 5 different types of cookies to my mum. Hehehehe.

At night, I went to my brother’s house in Kajang Utama. He’s going back to Kelantan on this Monday too by car with his wife and 2 kids. My main purpose is to ask for his help to bring back the cookies that I bought for mum. I don’t want my baggage to be overweight at airport later, as I have a few of other heavy things to bring back.

But the main purpose is to ask for his help to bring back “bunga-api” (firework) and “mercun” (firecrackers). Sssshhhhh!!! Just pretend you don’t listen this. There’s no way that I will put this in my baggage to be checked in at airport.

Back to KL, had a “sahur” at A&W PJ again, back home, and sleep.

Enjoy one of my favourite “Hari Raya” song video clip by Allahyarham P. Ramlee – Suara Takbir.

Select Allahyarham P. Ramlee – Suara Takbir from the dropdown list at top right hand corner of the main page (if you happen to visit this entry from Archive Page or Item Page) to view the video for this.

This video will be forced to play as default video for today until the end of the first Hari Raya. This M’re’s Flash Video player will not play the last video that you choose last time as described here.

Allahyarham P. Ramlee – Suara Takbir
Dengar beduk berbunyi
Sayup bergema di subuh sunyi
Memanggil kepada muslimin
Segera berbakti kepada Illahi

Suara azan menyahut
Terdengar sayup memecah sunyi
Memohon restu dengan bakti
Kepada Illahi Tuhan Maha Suci

( korus )
Terdengar suara takbir
Memuji nama Illahi
Rasa dalam kalbu
Tenteram dan aman selalu

Kini tiba masanya
Hati gembira di Hari Raya
Bertemu sanak dan saudara
Bermaaf-maafan dengan keikhlasan

( ulang dari korus )

Aku tak bisa luluhkan hatimu
Dan aku tak bisa menyentuh cintamu
Seiring jejak kakiku bergeter
Aku tak terpakut oleh cintamu
Menelusup hariku dengan harapan
Namun kau masih terdiam membisu

Sepenuhnya aku ingin memelukmu
Mendekap penuh harapan ‘tuk mencintaimu
Setulusnya aku akan terus menunggu
Menanti sebuah jawaban ‘tuk memilikimu

Betapa piluhnya rindu menusuk jiwaku
Semoga kau tahu isi hatiku
Dan seiring waktu yang terus berputar
Aku masih terhanyut dalam mimpiku

Last weekend of Ramadhan in KL

Dear all. It’s 5pm again on Friday in Ramadhan. It’s weekend again. Yay!!!

This will be the last weekend of Ramadhan that I will spend in KL, where I will spend the last week of Ramadhan at my hometown in Pasir Mas, Kelantan.

Tomorrow and Sunday I will be doing the last minute shopping for Hari Raya, and pack my stuffs for “balik kampung” this coming Monday.

Sorry. There’s no weekend cat today (Nak rayalah katakan. All of my cats model back to their hometown already). See my last week’s weekend cat.

Here I am, at 2:32am, still awake in front of computer. I just don’t understand me. When I’m in office, I was sleepy like hell, like I didn’t get any sleep at all, but when I got home, I’m so awake and alive.

So, just did casual surfing just now, and tonight (or today), it’s mainly checking friends blog. I come across my Taiwan colleague, George, from Suyi’s blog (deleted already), my Singapore colleague.

Oh no!! George is writing his blog in Chinese. Just wondering what he writes about. No worries. I just have something that will help me with this. I’m using my favourite online translator webiste, WorldLingo!!!!

Being working with AP regional projects, I’ve seen a lot of surveys, websites and documents that need to be programmed and presented in other language. Most of the time, it is just simply copy and paste, but there are times you need to quickly know what the sentence is all about so that you can paste the correct translated text into the original English document. This is where I use WorldLingo website a lot.

Google does have something like this too, which they called Google Language Tools. But I kinda like WorldLingo more.

Anyway, back to George’s blog. Now I know what he wrote. His latest entry is about mother and son. There is also an entry about train break down due to accident, and also something about he and his ex-girlfriend.

Then another crazy idea came to my mind. How my site blog looks like in different language? Time for another expriment ;) So, below are some outcomes of the experiment.

Chinese Simplified

Japanese

French

Hahaha. Sorry. I’m in “Hari Raya” mood already. Got this in my email, and feel like posting it here.

Damn. I’m so hungry looking at these cakes.

Warning: Jangan tengok kalau lemah semangat di siang hari bulan puasa ni!
