Last buffet for Ramadhan 1427H

The closing of Ramadhan at KL this year is rather a very good one. Emilia Basri, Public Relation Officer of INTEKMA Resort & Convention Centre has invited my for a free ramadhan buffet for 2, since I help her to put INTEKMA Ramadhan Buffet in the buffet list that I put on my blog earlier. Anyway, that’s very kind of her.

I always find the road system in Shah Alam is quite confusing. With so many sections, junctions, roundabout sub road, I always confuse with how to get around there. Printing the map from INTEKMA Resort & Convention Centre website makes it easier to get there.

Upon receiving there, I was greeted with the lush & green landscape of the resort. Make a call to Emilia, and she came after that greeting me and my friend, and bring me to the buffet area.

The buffet area is quite nice actually, surrounding the pool area, where the food station also surroundin the pool.

Then Emilia bring me around the buffet area. Again, that’s very kind of her despite being busy with other guests. This is the speciality of the Ramadhan buffet here – “Nasi Kawah”

Next stop is the main dishes area.

There’s also “bubur lambuk”,

“apam balik” that is freshly prepared,

“murtabak” which is also freshly prepared,

soto,

fried noodles,

and many others that I didn’t have chance to take photo. Judging from the price, this is quite a good bargain for the price of RM35 nett. Believe me, they have so many choices of food which usually, you only get this kind of foods selection for the price of more than RM50 elsewhere.

So, here is the first round of the food for me and my housemate fast breaking today.

And finally, thanks Emilia for the invitation. Really appreciate that.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri 1427H

Yay! Today will be the last day I work before I will be on 1 week Hari Raya leave. Tomorrow, I will be taking flight back to my hometown. The “Raya” mood is all around, so thinking of bringing the mood to my blog too.

I guess it’s time for another template header change. I spent almost 4 hours finishing this header. Phew.. Finish at last.

Well. Just one final thing to be prepared before I “balik kampung”. This photo is self-explainatory I guess. There’s no need for me to elaborate more why this photo is here.

Without you knowing, there is another week before Hari Raya Aidilfitri for this year. My flight back to Kelantan will be this Saturday. Let’s finish the unfinished business before my “balik kampung” today, and I can see this week will the the hectic one workwise.

First thing, pay “Zakat Fitrah” that I didn’t have a chance doing it last time. It is really convinient for Mid Valley to provide this service.

The rate for this year is RM4.70. It didn’t take long. I made the “niat”, and pay the money.

Then, went to Jusco, and got few “biskut raya” for my mum.

After I break my fast, I went to somewhere near my house to get litte something for my nephews and nieces. Like in previous year, my return to “kampung” is really awaited by them, mainly due for these things. LOL.

On this night also, I went to my brother’s house in Kajang. He will be back to Kelantan this Wednesday by car. At least, my luggage won’t be that heavy for the check in from the weight of biskut raya. And that little something for nephews and nieces is stricly forbidden to be checked in.

My penang friends are in KL again. Guess it’s a good time to have big buffet fast breaking. Thanks to the buffet list that I got and post here last time. Finding the place to do buffet is easy. Me and Alimin browsing through the list, and finally, we selected Restoran Nelayan Titiwangsa. Managed to gather 18 of us for the buffet today.

RM30 per person. I’m scared due to the so called budget control that I have for this year.

Anyway, this is my first time here. It’s kinda shock me that this place is quite happenning, and there are hundred of people, where the food that they offer isn’t that variety. I guess maybe it’s the venue, where this place is surrounded by the Titiwangsa Lake.

With this much people at the buffet, fight for the food is quite fierce. With long queue, it is rather dissapointed when it’s your turn to take the food, most of the things are finished. And it takes a while before they are refilled again.

But things that are always available is this raw seafood and vegetables. Since rice, fried me and other dished is hardly available, we end up having load and loads of prawns.

Fast breaking at Mid Valley

With the fact that I’m working at Mid Valley area, and the megamall is just down my office, I feel wierd that there is not even a single time that I break fast here. So, just decided that I will break fast here, as well as doing several other things

  • Break fast
  • Pay “zakat fitrah”
  • Buy “biskut raya” for mum
  • Shopping a little at Carrefour

I feel like having pizza today. So the place to break fast has been decided. Went to Pizza Hut. I’m having Sate Supreme Combo.

Now, I want you to pay a very close attention to the look of the pizza depicted in the menu. I mean it. Pay a very close attention.

Now, pay an even closer attention to the photo below. This is the pizza that I get from the order. Talking about WYSINWYG (What You See Is Not What You Get).

Anyway, here are the meals for today. And my extra order will be that Hot & Spicy Chicken Wings. That is a must order every time I visit Pizza Hut.

Next stop is, paying “zakat fitrah”. Too bad that the “amil” has left already. Furthermore he has to do terawikh tonight. Guess I’ll come earlier some other day.

That leaves me doing the final task for today, getting “biskut raya” for my mum. Quite many to choose from, but not as many as that I can see at other Jusco.

After browsing a while, I don’t feel like buying today yet. I’m thinking of going to other Jusco. Furthermore, I guess I’ll wait for the government worker to get their early salary. This time where zillions of people will start the shopping for hari raya, and this is when it is fun to do shopping my self with that kind of ambience.

It’s another double celebration again this year, there Deepavali and Hari Raya is just 3 days apart. So it’s another “Deepa-Raya” this year. Mid Valley has put up decoration for Deepavali celebration,

as well as decoration for Hari Raya.

TagMe!: Control Panel sneak preview

To my all dearest TagMe! users. I share your frustation of not being able to perform the most basic admin task like changing the size of the tagboard, changing colour, retrieve lost code etc etc.

I keep telling people for so long already, for the time being, this has to be done manually by me, and I guess I upset many of the users with the really long time taken before I get back to them.

Fear not my dearest TagMe! users. The very own control panel for TagMe! is being programmed now. And here is the sneak peak of it if you are interested to know how it will look like.

Stay tuned folks! Coming soon to TagMe! near you.

Ramadhan Buffet at Mc Donalds

Nice. Mc Donalds is offering Ramadhan buffet again this year. And the 24-hour Mc Donalds at Jalan Pahang, which is very close to my house is one of the restaurant that have this. It is a must go then.

Went there with my housemate as early as 6:00pm, to secure the parking. Kinda hard to get parking over there. Was given this sticker after that to be sticked on your shirt. The lower level still serving Mc Donalds to those who didn’t opt for buffet.

This is something that I don’t understand. If you had a buffet here, you have a choice of choosing free Spicy Chicken McDeluxe or Coutry Grilled Chicken Burger. Well. It’s buffet. It’s something that I can order this anytime in any number.

Well. This is our first round order.

At first I thought, how Mc Donald can make profit from this buffet thing when they only charge RM19.90 per person. But after a second though, ahhh yes…. They are indeed making profit out of it.

  • All servings are based on small set – small coke, small fries, small chicken porridge
  • RM19.90 is like you are have 3 small sets of value meal

From what I see, no one that had buffet today did went down to order more after they have finished what they got. It’s like they are only having 1 small set of value meal. And the spending is not close to RM19.90, where small set meal usually priced around RM8.

See. How clever McDonald’s marketing people is, of putting a very tempting price of RM19.90 for buffet, but in reality, it is not something that typical person can consume that much when talking about fast food meals. What about me? Well. My and my housemate did went for the second round of ordering.

First buffet for Ramadhan 1427H

It’s rather scary to think that Hari Raya Aidilfitri for this year falls at the very end of the month, when you usually hanging on the string waiting for the next round of salary.

Some companies usually give early salary to the staff during this kind of festive season. Well not my company. The salary is always paid sharp on 26th of every month. I like it this way though. The earlier the salary is given to you, the earlier you will spend them all.

But the buffet during Ramadhan is something that I can resist, even though I’m on very strict budget control at the moment (flight ticket, raya cookies for mum, fireworks for nieces and nephews – heeee, 15 nieces & nephews waiting for “duit raya”)

So, this is the first buffet that I went for Ramadhan this year – Seoul Korean Steamboat BBQ.

It tastes good, and it feels good to since you have to cook yourself before you can eat.
