Cheaper, Slimmer PS3 unveiled

The same evolution that always happened to game consoles from Sony, it’s getting slimmer and cheaper. Started with the original Playstation getting really small PSOne, then PS2 getting slimmer too. Then, the handheld PSP is at the third incarnation now, getting slimmer. Now it’s PS3 turn to slim down.

Now the size looks more practical for a game console compared to the original one, but I kinda like the look of the original better. I just hope that functionality and performance are not jeopardized by this slim down.

This just gives me more reasons to own a PS3. Will be out September 1 in North America and Europe, and September 3 for Japan. Might take several months before being introduced in Malaysia. But hoping it will be the time that I will get bonus :)

Thailand TOM Training – Day 1

First day of the training. There are 8 of my trainees altogether, where 1 decided not to attend since she didn’t really finish the foundation training yet. Finding the Thailand office is not that hard. Thanks for Google Map ;) Same as Malaysia office, which is at Mid Valley, Thailand office is in the middle of the city too. So there are quite a number of interesting things around.

The training for the first day is quite well. All of my trainees seems able to understand the concept of data management in Dimensions. After all, all of them are experienced DP personnel, and it should be easy for them to digest this. Let’s not talk much about the training. It’s boring stuffs to talk about. LOL

Anyway, after lunch, Sastra treats me to iced tea. This kind of stalls selling drinks are all over Bangkok. You can get coffee, tea or milo here.

I guess this is the Bangkok version of the drink seller, where in Malaysia, we have this. It’s quite fun to see how different culture to things differently.

Anyway, after work, Sastra bring me around to Pat Pong area. I’m just too lazy to take my camera out, so no photos from my Pat Pong visit. Ping Pong show? Plenty of people offered me here. Just Google yourself to find out what it is ;)

Goodbye HTC Touch Pro

It’s time to say goodbye to my HTC Touch Pro. After I got the iPhone, this phone is just basically sitting there in my drawer. I was thinking of keeping it, but come to think of it, I don’t really manage 2 phone lines. Before the price of the second hand HTC Touch Pro keeps dropping, let’s get it out of my unused things, at least I will have some spare money to spend :D

Well, the final photograph of my HTC Touch Pro. Feeling quite sentimental now. Sob! Sob! Will be selling it to Nazri a.k.a Chikos (officemate). I guess there’s need for me to link to his blog here. He’s quite a shy person. Hehe.

This makes this phone is the one that I use the shortest. 4 months 20 days to be exact. Bought this November 1st last year. It’s quite scary to see that I’m selling this at 1/2 price of what I originally paid to get this. But that’s the nature of second hand products. Futhermore, there are a few new models that make the price of the brand new HTC Touch Pro also drops. It’s even HTC Touch Pro 2 in the pipe line already. No! No! I’m not looking.

Even though I own this for only a short period, the blog entry that I did on how to fix the GPS lag problem on HTC Touch Pro is indeed the most famous blog entry of mine this year.

Well my friend. You served me well. Won’t be forgetting what a great phone you are.
