2007 Year-end Performance Management Partnership Process
It’s that time of the year again – the appraisal time. This is my first appraisal as the new role, so I will be appraised on totally a different attributes as last time. Kinda wondering how I am doing for this 1 whole year as Technical Manager. But this time round, the company has introduced a new objective setting and review form.
Below is one the new thing – Personal Attribute rating. The employee is asked to rate himself/herself, and after that the manager will rate accordingly. During the apprisal just now, my boss say, why put so low. Anyway, she gave higher rating that I put. Well, one thing that you need to know about me is – I’m very humble. Hehehehe. I just get in the basket, and lift it up myself (direct translation of “masuk bakul angkat sendiri” LOL)
But overally, I’m doing quite ok. I thought that I’m just doing so so. Well, my boss said this year is quite a though year (for herself too). What both of us managing now is something really new to the company, i.e Malaysia DP Centre Centre of Excellence.
But a word of advice from her – just be prepared. Next year it’s going to get tougher. Well, I’m all ready for that…
