My New iPhone 4

Got home at about 6am from the Maxis iPhone 4 launching event. I was thinking of leaving the iPhone 4 first, and have it set up after a good sleep. But with my previous SIM card deactivated already, I have to set up this phone first or else I can’t receive any phone calls. But I got to do the usual unboxing process first.

So here’s the bag that I got just now, with iPhone 4 inside.

There’s a hint of striking green on this bad, which seems to be the theme colour for the launching this time at the launching event.

Talking about me having high sentimental value, and the tendency of keeping bag and boxes of things that I bought in the past, I still have the bag that I got buying iPhone 3G that was about 1 year and 6 months ago.

So what’s in the bag? Just the iPhone and only the iPhone. No free goodies what so ever. Last time I do get free Maxis iPhone t-shirt, even though it’s not my size.

As you may have aware, iPhone 4 is using micro SIM card. This is the new micro SIM card that I got, which is activated within 5 minutes from the time that I got my iPhone, deactivating the old SIM card.

The size comparison with the old SIM card. I also heard that you can do DIY converting the big SIM card to the micro SIM card by cutting the excess plastic. That will be useful if you plan to use iPhone 4 with telco that doesn’t offer micro SIM yet.

Here are the contents of the box – the iPhone itself, headphone, USB cable, charger and documentations.

My iPhone 3G (which I will be selling it soon) next to the new iPhone 4. Retina display is such a jaw dropping thing. In the past, I found that iPhone 3G interface is very clean and shiny. But after looking at the screen of iPhone 4 for a while, and look back at the iPhone 3G screen, it feels that the UI of iPhone 4 is so blur.

The next thing, I will need casing and screen protector for this pricey thing. I got the NUDE casing from SwitchEasy. I like the this because it’s ultra thin, only 1mm. I also like the anti-glare and anti-fingerprint screen protector from Power Support, the same one that I used for iPhone 3G last time. I got the same thing for iPhone 4G too.

Finally, as what I always do when getting a new mobile phone, here is my updated phone timeline. As always, I kinda wondering what will be next 😉

    • Imran says:

oh ye ke? nanti nak pegi try comparelah. tapi kalau nak compare, kena compare iphone 4 vs iphone 4. klu compare ngan previous model, memang iphone 4 lagi terang sebab dia ada high resolution retina display

NK DPTKAN Microsim 2 kt mne ek…

    • Imran says:

klu beli iphone, nanti maxis akan tukar ke microsim on the spot.dlm masa 15 minit sim card lama akan expired, dan microsim tu akan activate. tapi klu tak pakai iphone, kita leh tukar ke micro sim gak. tapi dia kenakan bayaran utk tukar
