Visiting Penang – First Day

For the start of my first day I’m in Penang, we had a group sahur at Pelita Nasi Kandar restaurant. Being in Penang, what other restaurant that you can expect to still open at time like this (3 am) other that nasi kandar restaurant.

Made a selection of what I want to eat at. When eating at nasi kandar restaurant, all you can see is curry, curry, curry and curry again.

Here is what I had for my sahur today.

Back home, then I just fell asleep. Woke up at about noon time, and we all headed to Komtar.

And where else you can go here except going to Perangin Mall. This is the first time I’m here too even though I have been to Penang for almost 10 times already.

Bought birthday present for our new friend birthday tonight, and when we finished everything, it almost time for fast breaking for today.

Today, I went the restaurant that Mr Alimin just newly opened a couple of months ago. He is now venturing into restaurant business. He’s quite a business minded person and believe it or not, this is his 3rd business after opening a cyber cafe, computing and consultancy company, courier company and now food restaurant.

His new food restaurant is called Nam Waan. I believe it’s Thailand word.

Back home, and get ready for the birthday celebration of our new friend. He’s actually the owner of the cyber cafe next to Alimin’s Nam Waan restaurant. The birthday celebration is held at World Karaoke in Juru.

All the foods and karaoke session are sponsorred by the birthday boy. Hehehe. Another karaoke session to sing our hearts out.

There’s quite a number of people tonight, including my usual blogger friends, Nobta, Eisz, budakkecik and Zaif.

Met a few new friends along the way. This is just a way that our circle of friendships are getting bigger and bigger.
