Hikari foods for my fishes

The two new algae eating fishes that I get really did a good job of cleaning my aquarium from algae. Too good that I hardly see any algae left, and I fear that sooner or later, those 2 fishes will be starving.

For that reason, I bought the following Hikari Algae Wafers.

At the back of the package also it stated that plecos and other type of suckermouth fish is nocturnal – meaning it sleep during daytime and get active at night. Yes. That’s what I observed too that my 2 algae eating fish really avoid light and will run for cover then my aquarium light is turned on. For that, I only release the algae wafer into the water when the light out time is about to arrive (I set 11:59am and 11:59pm on the timer)

I kinda like Hikari products very much. They create specialized food for certain fish only, and not an all fish kind of food. And it is being scientifically research to prepare the finest premium aquatic diet.

Another thing that I like about it is, it doesn’t cloud the water. Even if you overfed, the left over will be deposited at the bottom of the aquarium as a whole, and it didn’t actually dissolved into water.

Below are the 3 different Hikari products that I have bought.

The first one is micro pellets for my small mouth neon tetra and guppy. The second one is sinking wafers for my bottom eater panda corydoras catfish. Lastly, the one that I just bought today is algea wafers for my new addition of algea eating fish.

I just hope my fishes stay healthy with all these fine foods.
