I lost my iPhone 4

I’m writing this on 16th March 2011, but this entry is dated 14th March 2011 – the day that this event happened.

Until today my brain is still numb. I lost all of my senses, and I still can’t accept the fact that I no longer own iPhone 4.

Well, it’s started with very fine day where I decided to pay Ikea a visit, just to get something for my new house’s kitchen. But I just had too many stops – stopping at All-IT Hypermart and Hardware Ace at Ikano Power Center, trying the OSIM massage chair, sitting on the chair and soda in Ikea.

Suddenly, I saw something of my interest, and would like to take a photo, of when I realize my iPhone is not longer in my pocket. So my friend tried to call my iPhone, ringing for the first time, but got hung up from the other side. Second time, it’s still ringing, and then got hung up again. Third time, my phone is no longer reachable. I guess the person that found it may already turned the phone off.

I quickly find a computer then, and use mobile.me’s Find My iPhone service. But my iPhone can’t be located. Still turned off I guess. So I broadcast the message to the phone. Waited the whole night, and the morning of 15th March, no email at all saying that the message has been sent. Meaning my SIM card may have been taken out already.

Last resort, I send the remote wipe command, hoping that this phone will eventually will be connected to the internet, and wiped clean. Well, free 4-month-old iPhone 4 phone for whoever that found it, and decided to keep it rather than waiting for the owner to call and return back the phone.

Now, what I have left is just a photo of my lost iPhone 4.

Looking at the bright side of it, now I can get iPhone 5 (or whatever that they will call later) when it is released later. At first, I decided that I want to skip 1 model (like I skip 3GS when I own 3G last time) since I just recently bought 4. So Summer 2011 (the time that the next model of iPhone is rumored to be introduced) is definitely the date that I’m waiting for, although I have to wait for 3 more months before it reached Malaysia.
