I’m officially credit card-less

Been on the quest of clearing my credit card debt since the beginning on the year, and managed to kill 3 Citibank credit cards out of 4 credit cards that I own.

I’ve got my HSBC Visa Gold card to kill last. Been twitting about this a month ago that I’m almost there with this goal.

But with the purchase of iPhone 4 a week ago, I have to use this again. I have cash for the purchase, but I just don’t want to bring RM2000 cash in the wallet that night. I could get mugged at the Garden’s parking bay for that.

Before I start the cycle of using the credit card again, let’s settle all the outstanding balance, and close the card. So withdraw the money from the bank for this.

And now, glad to see that my credit card’s outstanding balance is RM0.

This is my final credit card that I own that I want to close – HSBC Visa Gold card.

In this modern days, the chip is the heart of the credit card, where it used to be the magnetic tape at the back of the credit card. Let’s destroy that before I got tempted to use this card again.

2 holes on the card. None of credit card slot machine will accept this anymore.

To complete this, let’s to the traditional way of stop using the card – cutting it into 2 halves.

Now the card is cut into halves.

The final step to do is to step in to HSBC branch, and cancel this card for good. And by means of filling in a simple cancellation form, this credit card is a history.

There you go, I am now officially credit card-less.

Haha.. siap punch dan cut half lagik!

Sama macam meowmania. guna kad utk isi minyak dan yg BETUL-BETUL memerlukan sahaja.

klu leh disiplin kan diri. tapi saya selalu je termakan godaan. cam selalu cakap, alah. guna RM100 je. gaji nanti settle balik. tapi bila dah 2 3 kali duk wat cam tu, tup tup dah RM1000 outstanding balance. huhu

Marts guna debit card sahaja sekarang. Credit card no more. Long term actually you can really live without credit card and definitely no more unwanted purchases.

    BTW, tahniah. He he he…

tulah marts. that's the best plan. klu nak beli apa2 tak nak pakai cash, pakai debit card. still leh buat online purchase etc, janji ada duit dlm debit card – which is the better practice
