3.5″ IDE/SATA HDD Antistatic Case
Today, I have already received the parcel of the online order that I made at lelong.com. But before I show what’s inside, let look at some introduction first shall we.
With me having 2 hard disk docks (here and here), it is just a matter of time before my hard disk collection starts to increase.
The problem is how to store these fragile hard disks? At the moment, I have it in its original antistatic wrapping. They are not at very aesthetic look, and also the soft antistatic wrapper can’t really protect the hard disk that much.
So this is what this order is all about – getting a hard HDD antistatic case. Thinking that I will get more HDD in the future, I bought 5 of them.
This is how the hard disk looks like inside this case. Love the transparent look where I can see which hard disk is inside.
The case is very sturdy. There’s also this sponge at the cover of this case which will lightly pressed on top of hard disk, and locks it in place. So when the cover is closed, the hard disk inside will not move around, which is vital to prevent any unnecessary shock when handling the case.
I guess I just found the solution for my hard disk storage. Also, they stack nicely together.

But what is the reason for you to purchase so many 3.5'' IDE/SATA HDD ??
Isn't it everytime you need to access the files, you need to plug it into your laptop before able to access, compare with external harddisk that is plug and play?
internal 3.5" hard disk is relatively cheaper compared to external hard disk. so that's why i have a few internal 3.5" hard disk for doing backup of my files 🙂
so to use this internal hard disk like external one, I need the dock.

I think u sholud expand or upgrade your existing NAS 🙂
huhu.. my NAS tu 2 bay je. Lagipun NAS utk backup file2 yg penting je sebab buat RAID 1. benda2 yg kurang penting cam movie yg di download tu simpan dlm harddisk cam biasa je
