Last minute flight booking

Hari Raya Aidiladha is just around the corner. Everybody in the office keep asking me on how long I will be on leave for the occasion. I noticed that people have this impression that Hari Raya Aidiladha is more happening than Hari Raya Aidilfitri in Kelantan. Hhhmmm… Not quite true I guess (as far as my “kampung” is concerned).

Actually, I have quite so many projects at the moment and was thinking of not going back this year for Hari Raya Aidiladha. Was planning on calling my mum to tell this today, when suddenly last night, I got SMS from my sister that goes..

“Blk kampung bila n dgn gapo?”

I replied

“Mungkin naik flight hari ahad. hari selaso mlm balik ko KL balik”

She replied

“Pg ahad ke. Kul berapa. Awat tk blk hr sabtu?”

I replied

“x sure lagi. Dok beli tiket pun lagi. Ado kijo. Tokleh nok balik hari sabtu”

Then her final reply that stunned me.

“Ur ma semangat kemas ur room wpun tk sihat (Tukaq katil baru…) Kesian dia… Alih2 awak balik 2 hr jah. Raya cina x de plan nk blk ke @ nk g mkn angin mana?”

I nearly cried reading that, realizing for the last year, I went back to my “kampung” only 3 times – Hari Raya Haji, Hari Merdeka & Hari Raya Puasa.

I got to go back this time. Went to Malaysia Airlines website to book the ticket. Oh no. All fully booked on the dates that I want.

Then I went to Air Asia website. Alhamdulillah. Still got a few seats left, the K Fare and H Fare, which are the most expensive seats available on the flight and at the not very convenient time to fly (very early in the morning). But I won’t make a fuss of it. Ada tiket ni pun dah kira mujur.

So here is my itinerary.

And this is also my first time flying with Air Asia. Heard so many bad things about it. Let experience it myself.

Just now, I called my mum, telling that my flight will be tomorrow morning and arriving at Kota Bharu around 8:35am. She sounds so happy. So tomorrow morning, I’ll be back to Kelantan, seeing my beloved mum.
