TM UniFi launched

The project that is referred as TM HSBB (High Speed Broadband) has been launched by Prime Minister of Malaysia last night, with the name of UniFi.

I don’t see any official announcement yet on the price of the package on TM’s website, but the price has already spread from the forums and blogs that I read.

  • 5 Mbps – RM149
  • 10 Mbps – RM199
  • 20 Mbps – RM249

The list of packages and price list has been announce at UniFi’s official website.

As always, Klang Valley will always be the first to be focussed every time a new service is introduced.

And over the course of next 2 years, UniFi will be rolled out nationwide.

Well, for me, the UniFi will be available in Q4 2010 for the area of where my new house will be. Still long way to go. And as of now, I really considering of upgrading my Streamyx to 4MB package.

Currently I’m using the Home, Hop, Away internet package from Celcom (Streamyx 1Mbps + Celcom 3G Broadband) and I’m paying RM108 monthly for this. Any the TM phone line rental is around RM30 monthly. So basically I’m paying RM138 monthly for my internet access.

There’s this Streamyx BlockBuster Deals that are going on at the moment.

Will have a thought over this, and things seems ok, will visit TMPoint outlet this Saturday.
